The official registered business name of our enterprise is System Layer Base. The business was established in 2021 under the technical direction of lead hardware architect Kim Jihun in Wolgot-myeon, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
During the rapid expansion of parallel GPU computing and cryptocurrency mining between 2020 and 2022, many builders attempted to construct multi-card rigs using ad-hoc forum advice. The result was widespread hardware failure: melted SATA power connectors, ruined motherboard PCIe slots, blown consumer power supplies, and severe GDDR6X thermal throttling due to improper cooling maintenance.
System Layer Base was founded to bridge the gap between amateur trial-and-error and professional electrical engineering. We transformed a dedicated workshop in Gimpo into a specialized instructional facility equipped with industrial 220V power metering, static pressure ventilation, and individual ESD-safe assembly stations.

We believe that hardware education should be rooted in physical reality and verifiable measurements. Our curriculum is governed by three fundamental principles:
1. Electrical Safety Above All
We never compromise on power distribution standards. Every student is taught to calculate continuous current loads against the 80% breaker safety threshold and to eliminate dangerous low-gauge adapters.
2. Empirical Thermodynamic Measurement
We do not guess thermal performance. Students use digital vernier calipers down to 0.01mm to measure memory pad gaps and observe live heat dissipation with FLIR infrared cameras.
3. Small Cohorts & Deep Mentorship
We cap our hands-on workshops at 6 participants per cohort. This ensures that every student receives one-on-one bench supervision from our lead instructor throughout the entire assembly process.
Lead Instructor Background
Kim Jihun has spent over eight years building and optimizing dense GPU compute systems, high-density server racks, and custom thermal cooling loops. His background in electrical hardware assembly and Linux kernel tuning enables him to explain complex PCIe lane bifurcation, AC power synchronization, and frequency-voltage curves with clear, practical clarity.
